England...

Whilst a team of men were kicking some ball around in South Africa, I think they came from England actually, I was making New York style cheesecake and vanilla cup cakes.

During half time (The 15 minutes between putting the cheesecake in the oven and starting the cup cake mix) one had a delicious cup of tea and enjoyed the hot weather for a bit. I took a look at all the facebook updates and realised that England playing football really is a big deal for almost everybody. Girls that have never enjoyed a game of football in their lives, girls I know for a fact this is the case as they are my best friends, are writing obscenities about the ref or the players.

Why do people begin to enjoy something and really get involved in something once national pride is involved. If I had a penny for every time I have heard somebody say 'I don't watch football, but I watch the england games", or 'I don't watch football, but England's game is important'... People, If you don't like football, just be honest with yourself. You are not a traitor to Queen and country if you don't watch an England match.

I really believe that many people go along with watching 'the match' as they are scared to death somebody will question their 'loyalty'. Oh please... Again this is all male politics...

Today was the famous 'Courtyard Party in Leeds', Last month when I went to this fabulous party I queued for over 2 hours to get in... However because of the football, this party was dead. I know this because my friend posted a photograph of the courtyard where this party is held, and there was one person there, just one person.... Normally a pumping party, lots of fun, very little trouble, great music and crowd. When I think of the amount of people that would have much preferred to go to this party... Why or why didn't you???? Are you stupid? Missing out on the northern social event of the year for a game of football, even if it is England...

And what is with all these silly football songs like 'Vindaloo"? What a crock of shit... This is what 'Britishness' is. It's working class, common, curry eating, fat men... It really is, it is so depressing... A fat man in a video, singing about vindaloo, and this is a famous football anthem... OMG. And all these people who laugh along with it, GET A LIFE...

Do some baking or something... Go for a walk, go to a fabulous party and just be loud and gorgeous all night...

Do what is in your heart... Question everything that you do! Question why? Question question question! Always do the thing that will make YOU happy, ignore national pride, other peoples thoughts and feelings, ignore other peoples beliefs. You only get one life and you need to make it your own! So snap out of this coma and LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
